This section of the website treats present-day diplomacy from a broader perspective.  Contemporary Diplomacy looks at how the Department of State deals with transnational issues, commercial diplomacy, public diplomacy and political-military relations.  The segment covering Ethics and Theories contains text by professors of international relations who specialize in those two subjects. The International Law segment uses both contracted and original materials to describe international legal issues, including those relating to diplomatic and consular immunity.
